Community Libraries

Community Libraries

When a community is created, MySciLife automatically creates a corresponding library. These libraries can include class resources and other information that the teacher wants to share with students. Teachers can add to a class community library directly, or they can share items from the MySciLife Resource Library or their Personal Library.

Tip: Best practice is for teachers to upload ALL library items to their Personal Library, then SHARE to community libraries! This will make it easier to retain files from year to year, and to update them from ONE place as needed.

When a community is archived, the associated library is archived as well. Archived communities are like time capsules that allow MySciLife users to look back at all the content that was shared and created during that school year. Because they are archived, they are “frozen-in-time,” saved as read-only, and can no longer be updated.
