By default, you will see just the title of the most recent announcements at the top of each community stream.
Announcements function like posts, and they have both a stream view and an announcement view. You can read announcements directly from the community stream by clicking the “+” to the left of the announcement title. This view will show a summary of the announcement, including the first 300 characters of text and a thumbnail of any attachments or embedded videos or web links.
Once expanded the “+” becomes a “-.” Clicking the “-“ will collapse the announcement. Multiple announcement can be expanded at the same time.
To bring up the announcement view, including the entire announcement text, click the announcement title. Just like in expanded post views, you will see all announcement comments.
To close the announcement view, click the “x” in the top right corner.
At the bottom of the announcements box is a “More Announcements” button. Click “More Announcements” to read previous announcements.
