Filtering the Public Stream
External users can now filter The Public Stream by organization. Click the drop-down menu above the stream to see a list of available organizations. When you select an organization, the Main Stream is re-themed for the organization posts you are viewing. This works for users who are logged in, or logged out.
You can link directly to a filtered version of The Public Stream by choosing an organization from the drop-down, then copying the URL in your browser’s navigation bar. The filtered Public Stream can also be embedded in any website, so visitors to your site can keep up with what your organization and students are doing. All posts on the Public Stream are moderated, regardless of that student’s moderation settings. Posts from the Training Stream can never be shared to the Public Stream. Whether or not a post appears in the public stream depends on the users’ public sharing setting and the public stream checkbox at the bottom of each post. This setting is controlled by teachers via their Manage Students panel or by parents via their parent portal account.
See the “Manage Students” section for more information on how to manage Public Sharing controls.
