Posts (Overview)

Posts are the way users write, interact, and share content on MySciLife. When you select Posts from the My Stuff (Backpack) drop-down menu at the top of MySciLife, you will see all of your posts to your communities and to the Main Stream.

A post can be edited by the student who made the post and by any teacher who has moderation power over that post. Whenever a student edits one of their posts, that post goes back through the moderation process. A teacher must moderate all Main Stream posts; however teachers have the ability to change the moderation settings for their class communities and for individual students.

For more information on community and student moderation controls, see the Understanding & Adjusting Moderation Settings section.

Tip: Before you make a post, make sure you are posting using the correct identity! The Identity menu lets you select which identity is writing a post or making a comment. The identity menu defaults to the identity you edited most recently.
